    2012 Paris Spelling Bee
    STUDY GUIDE FOR PREREGISTERED PARTICIPANTS OF
THE PRELIMINARY WRITTEN ROUND 

The following are the two categories of study guide words for the Preliminary Written Round of the 2012 Paris Spelling Bee, which will take place on Saturday, 4 February 2012.

To participate in the Preliminary Written Round, you must be registered by 19 January 2012. The Preliminary Written Round consists of 25 words in the first round, and then another round of about 10 words in the second round. Most of the words will come from the list below. Finalists chosen from the Preliminary Written Round will move on to the Oral Finals to be held on 25 March 2012 at the American University of Paris. There will be approximately 20 finalists for each group (Gazelles and Cheetahs). A separate study list for the Oral Finals will be provided to the finalists following the Preliminary event.

CLICK HERE! to access the registration form or  request a copy of it by emailing parisfrancespellingbee@gmail.com. Then,  fill it out, print it, sign it and mail it by post with the registration fee as indicated on the form. The Preliminary Written Round will be held at Ecole St Catherine, 75005 Paris. The tentative time is from 10h00 to 13h00 (more specific information will be sent to contestants in the coming weeks).

The first category below is a study guide for the Gazelles: CE2-CM2 (3rd-5th grade).
The second category is for the Cheetahs: 6ème-4ème (6th-8th grade).
